The objectives of CANOSA are to:
a) Encourage its members to develop and nurture a strong sense of community spirit and cultural belonging.
b) Promote, preserve, and celebrate the arts, language, heritage, and traditions of Odisha.
c) Organize socio-cultural events and activities that showcase the dance, drama, music, heritage, and traditions unique to Odisha.
d) Celebrate traditional Odia festivals such as Bishuba Milana, Kumar Utsava, and Ratha Jatra, while encouraging participation from the wider multicultural community.
e) Arrange lectures, workshops, classes, seminars, and educational programs related to Odia arts, language, music, dance, drama, literature, and cultural heritage.
f) Support newcomers from Odisha in adapting to and integrating into Canadian society and culture.
g) Promote volunteerism, community engagement, and leadership development among youth.
h) Collaborate and participate in the activities of similar organizations across North America and beyond.
i) Organize recreational, athletic, social, and community-oriented activities that benefit and engage members.
j) Provide a forum for exchanging ideas, experiences, and views with organizations and associations that share an interest in Odisha and its culture.
k) Accept donations, gifts, grants, legacies, and other contributions, and utilize such funds solely toward achieving the objectives of the organization.
l) Undertake any other activities consistent with and supportive of the above objectives.
